Pros
Northside Hospital is a wonderful place to work! The nurses I work with are some of the most hard-working and caring individuals I have ever known. We have great relationships with the ICU mid-levels and physicians, and they welcome and value our input. The staff is great, and I feel that the leadership team also welcomes and values what we have to say. With that being said, high quality, safe and compassionate patient/family centered care is always at the forefront. This is certainly a pro, in my opinion. The team values all of this highly and works tirelessly to promote patient and staff safety and satisfaction. They also encourage effective communication among employees. NSH offers many opportunities for continuing education and certification. The unit works toward implementing different quality initiatives & this is beneficial for our patients. Yes, there are tough days, but the comradery is great. I love that we come from all different places in life (age, gender, race, religion, etc.), but we call eachother a "family." We even do fun things together outside of work :)

Cons
*traffic (at times), but that's Atlanta for ya! working 7a-7p or 7p-7a generally helps you dodge it though :)
*documentation system can be tough, but they are working on it!
