Pros

The food is good & my coworkers were amazing, hard working & interesting people. The customers are friendly & very enjoyable to talk to.

Cons

Management! They shuttle people from Anchorage to Healy & then threatened the employees constantly. They don’t pay their employees for a month. So they have no $$. Several employees were fired & they left on the side of the road with no way home & didn’t give them their final paycheck. The nearest public transportation is 12 miles away. I drove several abandoned people to the train station & several 2 hours away to the nearest airport. The entire management team is extremely negative. There’s no positive or encouraging words. The behavior of the management team, I’ve never witnessed such bad behavior from children, let alone adults in their 30’s & 40’s.. 2 of the male managers were sleeping their way through the young female staff. At a shift meeting on May 23rd, 2 of the managers tried to embarrass & humiliate me in front of the entire staff. All they did was embarrass & humiliate themselves. Everyone walked away thinking “life has & your parents have failed you, if you thinks that is acceptable behavior “. Very unprofessional, childish behavior. This is a seasonal job & the housing is provided. The housing is horrible living conditions. They charge employees $450/month for 1/2 of a 10x13 shared room with a twin bed & a storage locker. Some of the people didn’t have mattresses, they were sleeping in box springs. There’s so much mold in these old trailers, I couldn’t breath.

Pros

Good discount package for the number of years with this company. Honest communication with my superiors and coworkers.

Cons

Sometimes the management doesn't stay too long. Have to get to know new management more often than most places I've worked.

Pros

Low stress at Denali Crow's Nest and Log Cabins, only busy when people arrive from train, can be hectic at times, you also get to drive the company van if you have a clean driving record and shuttle guests to nearby shops restaurants, or the park which can be fun

Cons

Can be boring and sometimes guests are rude
