Pros

This is the one LED company that I've seen that is trying to be something more- A custom made solution for the LED space with a solid brand and cool company. From the outside it looks like a beautiful, clean machine of a company. Designed for performance, it looks like a Maserati, and you can't wait to get involved.

Cons

You quickly learn that it's not the beautiful piece of machinery that you saw from the outside. It was founded by a narcissistic megalomaniac and the day to day operations are managed by a person who more closely resembles a flame thrower than a COO. Rude, racist, completely dishonest about, well, everything, this woman is a piece of work. I have nothing nice to say about her, or the support that the founders give her. In my time there I saw 40 people get hired, most of which ended up leaving in under 6 months. It turns out, at the end of the day, that the Maserati that you bought has a 1987 Honda engine that leaks oil and curses you out randomly, which is weird because engines don't have mouths. This was the single worst experience in a professional career that covers years of success. Run, don't walk, from this place- it's toxic and no matter what you do, you'll end up kicking yourself for working here.

Pros

This is an innovative, fast-paced company that is doing great things to serve and support individuals. It is a great team. The job is creative, meaningful and challenging in all the right ways.

Cons

Because it is very fast-paced, there is a lot of work to be done always. Sometimes it can feel overwhelming if the work/life balance is off.

Pros

There are a couple cool people that work at the company.

Cons

This is by far the worst company I've worked for. I've worked for a lot of companies but this one is just awful. If you want to know more about the COO, check out her Twitter account- who headlines herself as "HBIC" ?? - Google what that means if you're not sure. She has the biggest ego I've ever seen and makes working there very difficult because there is no feedback that you can give as an employee to try to better the company- it will just be seen as you knowing more than her and she will make sure that you go nowhere. Look at the bogus reviews on their Glassdoor page. Its VERY clear to see which ones are professionally written and proper and which ones are ones from former employees (in a more casual tone). I am being completely honest when I say that the COO sent everybody an email demanding that we write a positive Glassdoor review while we worked there, presumably to balance out the bad reviews... can you believe that? I couldn't make this stuff up. Thankfully, Glassdoor is a place that will let the truth be known about an employer. I find it very hard to believe that anybody would write a good review about this place. STAY AWAY if you value your career; it will get you nowhere and isn't even worth putting on your resume. Good luck.
