Great Leaders Fast Progression A lot of autonomy

None from my experience thus far

I joined Nicholson Glover beginning of 2017 as a fresh grad. Started off just focused on candidates, moved into full consultant role after 6 months, moved into Senior Consultant job beginning of 2019. Mostly learning on the job which I really enjoyed. Because it's a small company you learn directly from the directors. When you move up to the consultant job is when you start making the serious money. I made £50k in my first full year as a consultant. Team's really nice. Not KPI driven at all really. How much money you make in the year is the only target that's important. If you're not doing so well then they will look at KPIs more but that's as much to help you as monitor you. Given the freedom to find what works best for you. Also opportunity to branch out to different areas if you want to. I did a bit more brand strategy stuff outside my market research focus. Still keep in touch with the people I worked with there (that's how I've been strong armed into doing a glass door review)

It is a smaller company which has its cons as well as pros. You can move up the company quickly but then it becomes more about making your own opportunities (i.e. developing new business and building up your own desk). Not necessarily a bad thing but will suit some better than others. Also as smaller company you won't have as big a contingent as work friends as compared to if you were joining a big grad scheme or something.
