Pros

work from home and fly on the wall

Cons

Found this on a job board for queers and was told it was safe for the LGBTQIA2S+ community, but this was not a good place for queers or disabled people, from my personal experience. I felt misled by the amount of work we were going to be given and when i voiced this two months ago after my training, I was mistakenly sent an email for the salaried employees that went on to complain about myself and the other new hires. There were paragraphs describing how annoying the people working under them were and I had to read it all. I was distraught after this and unsure what to do but needed to keep working. Recently i discovered a discrepancy on my pay stub and when i asked they explained that i don't get paid when i am not recording the meeting. I am expected to show up early but don't get paid and when the meeting ends i stay on and get spellings and wrap up my notes, but am not being paid for this time. Neither tasks are optional, so why don't they pay for the time? I was fired today after i made a complaint and said it was an exploitive structure. Please avoid the pain i experienced working for these people. They have a high turnover but make it seem like everyone is happy. They don't respect your time and call it freelance but it's not, you can't get the work without them and the issues that came up for me where between the management and myself, but there is zero support for the workers that do all the work of their business. If you are a lawyer and reading this, know that you also support exploiting workers. After I got the mistake email I felt the staff all knew and unfairly targeted me. I think they created an unhealthy and exploitive environment. Please avoid working for them.
