Pros
I loved working for technical services. The customers were amazing and the mix between science and travel was fantastic. It is very good for giving you a base of skills and also providing good networking opportunities.
Cons
Looking back however, after 3 years the amount of pay increase was negligible in comparison to other industries. No matter how hard you work, it felt like the industry wasn't willing to meet standard pay for the field (lansing is likely contributing to this fact I'm sure). After a period of time it also feels like personal growth opportunities are stiffled.
