Pros

Small enough you know all the employees. Enjoyed working under my direct manager, wish him all the best. I guess it’s a good place to get your foot in the door of finance, or if you’re a college student needing a flexible work/school schedule

Cons

Too much is put on the tellers. It’s a lot of work to handle all the transactions and be expected to answer every phone, meanwhile the loan officers are chatting and doing nothing. Yes, I saw it everyday, doing nothing. There’s not much room for growth, and if they do switch employee positions, many times you are told if you need to move to accommodate them, not asked. So expect to be moved branches against your wishes. Pay is LOW. There’s not even cross selling incentives to help with the low rates at all. Only really work with your schedule if you’re a teller in school. Major lack of structure within management in all departments, and no consequences for “the favorites” or higher positions when they do things that are unprofessional or just downright mean. They enable and allow people from other departments higher ups to talk badly about lower employees (including those not over) because they didn’t handle a situation how they would have. Or simply didn’t want to do their job and help in a situation where someone like a teller has no authority. Keep bad employees and give them what they want, and let the good ones go without even trying to offer solutions to keep them. Loan officers are expected to follow all their rules, except for one who can do whatever they want because they know a lot of people. Company can’t grow because it’s simply not trying to actually compete with others. President/CEO is controlled by one of the VPs…and that’s all I’ll say on that. Too much drama all. The. Time. It was a hard place to stay since the drama is never ending it seems, and everything I’ve listed above is nothing new to any of the employees there. It’s all talked about all the time.
