Pros
The people are fantastic, mostly. friendly, smart, and supportive. Benefits are well above average, especially for maternity leave and other perks (flexible spending accounts etc). Pay is pretty good, but yearly increases are small.
Cons
Can't get out of its own way, always another reorg, leadership leaving and new people coming in and throwing out the old way of doing things before there's even momentum. Problems I saw when i came in were still the same problems years later, despite many trying to come up with and implement solutions. No room for promotion unless you go to a different dept, which why would you want to if you want to stick with your current profession/career? Better off leaving and coming back for that title change and pay raise. Depts are often too siloed, and the new regional model is only going to make it worse.
