Pros

some super smart, talented, fun and kind people to work with (most of whom have since quit or been laid off) Solid compensation

Cons

After working here for about 7 months i had to basically start asking trusted people....what does this product do and why does anyone actually need it? Alot of people cant even answer that question OR - they told me straight up : "they dont" -2 rounds of lay offs, stagnant business outlook, zero deliveries of value for over a year and key people departures have morale 6 feet under right now. -CEO is a narcissistic ego maniac...everyone has to walk on egg shells around the guy. -Never seen an executive be LESS empowering to the people he hired to do jobs. CEO comes from an agency background and clearly has no idea how to REALLY build a product. -CEO would rather build things he thinks is a cool idea he heard from someone at a conference rather than solve problems and actual needs of customers based on research and evidence. -Nacelle has not delivered a SINGLE THING in over a year....and with the new platform issues and migrations....we will not deliver anything new through the end of the year (making it 2 years) -Nacelle will be another example of this crazy "VC era" bubble that has now popped. Companies that just take the funding money and irresponsibly spend to scale my any means necessary all while not adjusting strategy or business model. That era is over. I dont think Nacelle will be around much longer.

Thank you for your feedback. We want to emphasize this is not the culture we have built or stand for. As a current employee, we strongly advise you to raise concerns with your manager and/or the People team so we can work hard on ensuring this is not the case for any employees in the future. Regarding your concern about the product, we have recently hired a Chief Technology Officer to lead efforts to continue developing and improving our product roadmap. They have immense eCommerce knowledge from the customer point of view and a history of building strong product teams. We are tapping into a network of customers, providing feedback, and researching to solve the challenges that eCommerce merchants face. The reduction in force was in response to the changes in the capital markets and to support the business's long-term success. This was a very challenging decision that we did not take lightly, and we did our best to support those affected during the transition. From the beginning of Nacelle, we were intentional about setting cultural values that reflect the kind of company we want to build, from honesty & integrity to ownership. Our People team welcomes the opportunity to connect directly over a call to discuss your feedback and concerns in greater detail.

Pros

-Impressive Coworkers (No lack of talent here. Everyone comes with skill and a wealth of experiences. Always find myself learning from others) -Autonomy (there are processes to follow, but you can be creative and bring your own POV on anything from marketing efforts to strategies for sales cycles) -No micromanagement (everyone is treated as equally to get the job done.) -Fun culture (could go overlooked, but it's refreshing to be an team where we work hard, laugh hard, and focus on a winning environment)

Cons

-Hard to call this a con but it could be an adjustment for others. Things are actually fast-paced in terms of change. Products gain new features/use cases quickly. Territories/segments can change quickly. You have to be nimble to embrace the challenge. -Second challenge you may find is constrained resources. We have teams/departments that can help you create collateral on whatever project you have going on, but it's hard to always prioritize your things. Meaning there is a big onus on you to lead on creative processes and building new assets for whatever presentation or report. It's part of the culture to be very self-sufficient.

Pros

The codebase was maintainable and my direct colleagues were approachable.

Cons

- Work expectations extended into every evening and weekend without acknowledgment or flexibility - I received messages from leadership at all hours expecting immediate responses - There was no separation between working and personal time because the culture did not treat that as important - The workload was created by decisions from above without adjusting timelines or staffing to match - I watched talented people leave because the pace and hours were unsustainable
