Toxic Partner - Paralegal Musick Peeler Employee Review

I currently work at Musick Peeler - the firm has a long-standing positive reputation and is well respected in the San Diego legal community, and I feel very lucky to be a part of it. The staff is very warm, welcoming, and a pleasure to work with. I’m grateful to be able to work alongside such a great attorneys and staff. The firm offers competitive benefits, flexible work schedules, and a supportive environment.

I have not experienced any cons so far.

Good health insurance. Had the pleasure to work for some excellent professional attorneys but even the very best will turn on you when it fits their agenda

It take years to get to a decent salary. Actually, I was the last target left standing so I consider myself fortunate. If you are not a robot type of employee and you have a mind of your own, then this Firm is not you because the people in personnel have an ego the size of Jupiter. It's truly an ego power trip to the point where the staff is scared. It's dreadful, and silence reigns supreme in this office. The managing partner walks the office like a warden checking on everyone twice a day, mid morning and right after lunch. This office went from being friendly years ago to completely stale. So my best advice: if you ever work at the OC office, stay clear of partner Sandra Wetzler if you want to hang on to your job. Her tongue is lethal! I am happy and in a good place now and have moved on to higher goals. But you don't treat a stellar employee from a Hero to a Zero in a spam of a month. Have some respect. Overall, the billable hours are very difficult to meet because the case load is simply not there like it used to.
