The founder will keep her team waiting for up to 20 mins on team calls before she joins. This happens weekly. No respect to other people in the business.
Highly unrealistic sales targets and targets- based on what the founder would like the company to make, not based on previous sales. This means the sales team almost never reaches targets or makes commission.
High burnout of staff due to unrealistic expectations.
Expenses are hardly ever reimbursed and emails are ignored.
Transport to annual company away days and quarterly team meet ups is not paid for by the company, and up to the individual to cover. No snacks or food provided- up to you to bring your own. Work events in the evening, transport is not covered.
Founder will happily poach potentially clients from her sales teams as opposed to helping nurture relationships. And there's no choice but to hand over which means losing any future sale going towards your sales target and no commission. So many balls are dropped because the founder doesn't have the capacity to manage all the clients due to other time constraints within the business.
The founder struggles to delegate which means there is a bottle neck at the top of the business as everything needs to be passed through her, and she wants to be involved in every aspect and conversation.
