Pros

Co- workers are the one of the best people I’ve worked with. The work is interesting and you’ll learn a lot about litigation and how to edit documentaries. The videos you create help people You learn a lot about lighting and get to work with many types of different cameras. There’s always coffee Occasional free lunch Quarterly bonus program Consistent pay. Flexible PTO

Cons

You’ll travel half of the time.... using your own car. Bad equipment- good cameras with really bad lenses. Expect weekend and late night phone calls or emails Expect to get notified to attend marketing events or video shoots a day before or two days before that are far away . You’re a “ one man team” when it comes to going out on video shoots. No benefits, however it seems like company will be getting benefits soon. Issues with leadership. Decision making is scattered and takes a lot longer than it should.

Pros

This is a family-owned business and they have been through SO MUCH between COVID and the recent fires but they continue to stand strong and NEVER stop producing high-quality demonstratives for their clients. The law community respects the company and the brothers at the helm and anyone who's complained about their time with the company was doing so out of spite after their time here didn't work out. For me, a woman in the videography/journalism landscape of LA, I have found a home and a place to grow with MotionLit and look forward to more time here and appreciate the many ways the G Bros have supported me and lifted me up.

Cons

It's a constant learning process, and we've experienced some adversity over the years as a company and as a team. Communication is key and it's not always perfect but the higher-ups are willing to learn and work on their communication within the team. This is not a toxic workplace- it's quite the opposite. they want to be better every day.

Pros

The best part of working here is hands-down the people. The animators, editors, and project managers are incredibly talented and make the day-to-day grind bearable. Their creativity and teamwork are the only reasons I stuck around as long as I did.

Cons

Unfortunately, the positives end there. The pay is embarrassingly low for the amount of effort and skill required—barely enough to scrape by. The workspace is a nightmare; it’s cramped, outdated, and feels like an afterthought. Communication from leadership is practically nonexistent; you’re left guessing half the time about expectations or project updates. Worst of all, they treat you like you’re completely expendable—zero appreciation or recognition for the work you put in. It’s a shame such a great team is stuck in such a poorly run company.
