Pros
The only pro I can think of is that I learned that I don't ever want to work for a CPA firm anymore, and now I'm doing much better than when I worked at this evil place.
Cons
This is a completely disorganized company. They don't have a clue what they are doing and don't care about the well-being of their staff. Upper management doesn't bother to train people properly, and instead takes joy in seeing people fail at their work. Several people here are ignorant and selfish. People run their mouth and think can say and do whatever they want. They will gladly throw you under the bus to cover themselves.
There's a lot of yelling, cursing and threatening remarks from the older people, who feel like they can do whatever they want. But then they expect everybody else to be on their best behavior. "Do as I say, not as I do" never works well, and certainly not here.
There is high turnover at this company, in part because nobody is trained properly so they just let people go (usually after a tax deadline - also, the main owner never shows up on the day of a deadline, probably because he doesn't want to take heat from the clients, so that becomes your responsibility). He is self-serving, lazy and rude, but he does let certain types of people walk all over him.
There is no "growth" at this company. Just more work, and hours as a result. They don't really care about your life outside of this company, but they expect you to care about their lives. I learned absolutely nothing worthwhile here.
Working here felt like slavery, and I'm glad to be away from it. I was never treated properly.
