Pros

None that I have experienced in the company.

Cons

Leadership was poor. I was hired for an executive role, but the job scope felt more like a manager position. There was no guidance from my manager. HR always sided management side and handled issues unprofessionally. Matters that should have been addressed formally were instead brought up during lunch. Management constantly micromanage us and act as if they are spoon-feeding us, although that is not true. There is no clear direction in their leadership. No benefits at all and welfare is very minimal. You have to be very strong in Chinese; otherwise, you won’t be able to fit in their culture, as they hire almost exclusively Chinese personnel.

Pros

Pay was good; 14 per hour. People I worked with at the store are mostly really nice.

Cons

ALLEGEDLY was spied on through CCTV which is so icky. I was made aware of this from my coworkers as my manager ALLEGEDLY got reprimanded for not giving me anything to do, even though there genuinely are periods of little to no traffic. I was not made aware that I was being made redundant until 3 weeks after. In the first week, I was not rostered at all. Second week, only once. Third week, was not even prompted to send in my availability, so I asked the HR in charge of part timers what was going on and it was only then that I was made aware that I could look for another job. Inventory management system SUCKS. Imagine an inventory transfer of 15-20 items and you're not able to validate it because you accidentally scanned another barcode instead of the IMEI and the system does not tell you which IMEI's are incorrect/missing.

Pros

Location is quite convenient with many food options

Cons

predominantly Chinese speaking, even in office setting. Hard to communicate professionally. Micromanaging in some levels. Bosses rarely checks in. Sometimes feel excluded because you are not in their culture. Overworked but nobody cares because its normal. At least you get weekends to yourself if outsourced people don't bother you I guess.
