Pros

Mira has been rewarding workplace of my career. Having worked with big and inspiring brands before, I can say with confidence that Mira stands out as my absolute top. The culture is exceptional – respectful, collaborative, and deeply supportive. People challenge each other in the best way: with empathy, professionalism, and a genuine drive to grow together. Over nearly four years here, I’ve grown tremendously as a specialist. Mira offers countless opportunities to take ownership, launch new initiatives, experiment with fresh ideas, and see meaningful results. It’s an environment where creativity and responsibility go hand in hand, and where your contributions truly matter. I feel grateful every day to be part of such an inspiring and empowering team.

Cons

The pace is very fast :) with many exciting projects happening at once. Prioritization can be challenging, especially with limited team resources during busy periods. But for me, the energy and opportunities far outweigh the challenges.

Pros

- Management are open to new ideas and ready to listen to employees. Monthly meetings are set-up between all company teams were we share are wins or challenges. - Recognition is give to hard workers constantly and company also provides incentives every month or on a yearly basis. - There is a lot growth opportunities for all members of the team and also there is room to grow in different departments one may be interested in. - Positions are all remote, and we are free to work our own hours which is essential for work life balance - The company is helping woman all around the world to understand their health/ hormones which gives me a sense of pride.

Cons

The company is a start-up with very ambitious projects and growth, so you need to work very hard and provide results per deadlines,

Pros

Hormonal days off and a great product for own use

Cons

The company presents itself as a place that empowers women, especially since almost the entire workforce is female and the products focus on women’s health. But inside, the culture does not empower anyone. The message of women supporting women is used for branding, not for the people who actually work here. The internal environment is extremely high pressure. Leadership relies on strict top down control, and most employees quickly learn that speaking up is risky. Many people feel watched rather than supported. There is a widespread belief among staff that HR closely monitors internal Slack conversations, which adds to the atmosphere of fear and keeps people from raising concerns openly. Employees are strongly encouraged to leave positive reviews online, so the public image looks polished while the internal reality is draining and unstable. The disconnect between “empowering women” on the outside and the pressure placed on women inside the company is impossible to ignore. The workload is extreme. Twelve hour days are treated as normal. Weekend work is expected. Middle of the night calls happen regularly with no extra compensation. Even though the company advertises remote flexibility, real flexibility is minimal when you are expected to be available at any hour. Compensation is inconsistent and non transparent. People in the same role can have shockingly different salaries with no explanation. Although the workforce is almost entirely women, the small number of men consistently appear to be paid more than many of the women in similar positions. It creates a strong sense of unfairness and frustration. Promotions and recognition look good on the surface but offer no long term security. I saw people praised publicly and then removed shortly after for vague reasons. Turnover is extremely high and people rarely stay long because the culture drains you emotionally and professionally. If you are considering applying, be aware that the company’s public message about empowering women does not reflect what women inside the company experience. The environment is high pressure, inequitable, and driven by fear rather than support

Mira (CA) Response

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback, we take these concerns seriously and want to address several specific points directly. On pay equity: Pay equity is fundamental to how we operate, our workforce is predominantly female, including in leadership. We reviewed this claim against our compensation data, and it does not hold up: pay decisions at Mira are based on role, level, and experience - not gender. We're confident in that and stand behind it. On workplace culture and communication: We do not monitor employees' Slack conversations, and we do not pressure or incentivize anyone to leave positive reviews. Both would go directly against our values, and we want to be unambiguous that neither is part of how we operate. On workload and recognition: We hear the feedback about workload, after-hours availability, and concerns around job security. Building an environment where people feel genuinely supported, not just recognized in the moment — is something we're actively working on. At Mira, empowering women isn't just an external message. It's reflected in who leads our teams, who builds our product, and how we invest in our people, and we're committed to making sure that shows up in the day-to-day experience of working here. — Mira HR Team
