Pros

Having a younger team can provide a good environment between colleagues.

Cons

Management The most prominent issue is the management’s need to control and supervise every single thing each department does. Normally, companies should have, in every department, someone as the decision maker ensuring that things can run efficiently and within schedule. That is not the case at Minga whatsoever. The boss makes every final decision and as a consequence, every team books multiple meetings one after the other. The work is sent back multiple times by the team leaders and when it is finally presented to the boss is, almost every time, sent back again. The feedbacks given are usually unhelpful and very vague, instead of constructive. Although the term is “team leader” none of them know how to manage a team properly. The superiority and entitlement mixed with apathy and manipulation equals bad management, and burned-out employees. The company tries to sell you this narrative that remote work is a “privilege” and that workers need to work day and night to claim their “reward”. The term “work-life balance” is turned into a “only work no balance” rule. Ableism One of the most critical problems has to be, the way the company acts towards neurodivergent workers and people with mental health problems, in the workplace. Workers have been jeopardized because of their diagnosis and for being more sensitive relating to certain circumstances. The term that most resonates with this topic is “Mobbing” which basically translates to workplace bullying (read here: AllVoices website). As seen on the article, Mobbing can have a psychological and emotional impact on the victim and undermine the victim's ability to perform their job effectively. When the worker asks for accommodations, the company just takes more and more perks that the worker may already have, like reducing the coffee breaks or taking away remote work. Office In the summer the team was getting bigger so the office had to go under construction, right beside the working area. That led to everyone having to relocate to the kitchen area, to avoid the noise made by the construction workers breaking down walls and building a new WC area. The place where we all ate our meals became a crowded small office for various teams, which created discomfort, difficulty concentrating and many people getting sick due to the dust everywhere. The construction lasted for about three months, leaving everyone exhausted and frustrated because the work could’ve been done in a remote setting instead.

Pros

Alternative and creative fashion brand , possibility of learning and young team

Cons

Horrible management, toxic environment, bullying from the CEO, no respect for human or workers rights, unpaid overtime and constant pressure to do overtime - they would literally tell people that they suck without further explanation and try to make us feel bad for our work saying that it was a motivational tactic…. They copy designs from small artists and claim them as their own. Claim to be hybrid but you have to deserve having the possibility of working for home otherwise they will put you in “detention” and will make you go to the office even if you are the only one and everyone else is working from home. I could go on the whole day about how bad this company is. Stay away from this place and don’t support brands that don’t support people.
