Pros

1. Supportive environment 2. Opportunities for growth 3. Good benefits - health care is ok, solid 401k deal, short term/long term coverage, etc. 4. Best time off -PTO/holidays/school vacations. 5. You will literally never find another job that offers as much paid time off/shortened work days and overall support in their field -or any human service field.

Cons

Can be difficult day to day, but the students progress and team support makes it easier. You definitely work for the time off.

Pros

Great work schedule, lots of paid time off. Work with some really great people. Plenty of educational resources available. Many of the teachers and analysts are great to work with and make me better at my job. Room to learn and grow in your career. If you love to help kids work through their issues it’s a perfect environment for that. I feel free to really care for my kids.

Cons

The pay is insulting for the responsibilities in our job description. Politics among supervisors as well as some coworkers. Can be like high school sometimes. Some teachers are a nightmare to work with and are on a power trip and play head games with their staff. Some of our students behaviors can be intense and aggressive. It’s part of the job but that might be a con for some. Did I mention the pay. High turnover. My coworkers and myself always looking for different jobs.
