Pros
Pay scale is competitive. Wide latitude of autonomy. Company vehicle, phone, laptop, tools, gas card, and corporate card. Overtime available. Most employees have been with company for 5+ to 20+ years, indicating a good relationship between management and employees. Variety of work, providing many opportunities for learning and growth. Owner is a lovely person.
Cons
No sick time. Only 6 paid holidays. Few health insurance options. No structured training. Little to no feedback on work performance. Infighting amongst installers and between installers and salepersons. Lack of cohesion amongst installation techs. Failure to strive for industry best practices. Lead technicians forced to serve as project managers without commensurate compensation. Autonomy results in inefficiencies, 90 minute lunches, project overruns, and lack of support from supervisor(s). Disregard for concerns and requests of/from installation techs. Openly racist comments tolerated by senior staff. That said, if you can maintain a positive attitude in the midst of some negativity and disorganization, you can have a solid career working for this company.
