Pros
Working as a Computer Science Course Aide was a meaningful and rewarding experience. I was trusted to support introductory programming students from many different backgrounds while also helping shape a relatively new role within the department. The faculty were supportive, open to feedback, and genuinely committed to improving the student experience. It was especially fulfilling to see that my work could make computer science feel more approachable for students who were still finding their place in the field.
Cons
Because the role was still developing, expectations and responsibilities could occasionally be unclear or change over time.
