The work culture is one of 24x7 right now. I see more and more people online over the weekend, and Saturday has become virtually another day at the office based on the volume of emails I see. Travel seems to be the norm as many people are out of the office on a routine basis (and some every week). In most companies there is an expectation of some off-hours work. However, over the past year I have noticed that off-hours work is the norm and almost expected across many teams including teleconferences and video conferences on Saturday and Sunday in some cases. Burnout is coming if management doesn't change (or possibly set) expectations.
