- Extremely disorganized management and laboratory operations
- Lack of sufficient supplies available
- Lack of proper training or feedback
- Management never supports their own staff, never gives benefit of the doubt or defends employees when it is called for
- Work environment ranges from unhappy to intolerable due to the management and the people who work there
- Lack of support or help from team ("teamwork" doesn't exist here) when needed, you're on your own when things get hot and heavy
- Day shift is severely understaffed
- High turnover rate, mostly due to issues mentioned above
- *Several Memorial Hermann hospitals have done away with their phlebotomy teams and management at other locations (for example, Memorial City) doesn't seem to care if it happens there as well. They have gone so far as to imply that if it does happen, it is the team's fault for not having "good attitudes". Again, management does not have any interest in the people they are meant to support, and make minimal effort to enforce any improvements.
