Pros
Good days are gone and in the past
Cons
The work environment in the product group has become challenging due to the recent changes in engineering leadership. There is a lack of a safe and open space for discussions, and team members are not treated equally. It is disheartening to see favoritism play a role in opportunities and recognition, with certain individuals getting preferential treatment. In some cases, the new leaders have made sarcastic comments towards other engineers and made their work environment worse, which is not conducive to a professional atmosphere. There appears to be a lack of strong leadership and vision, which is impacting the team’s ability to attract and retain top talent. Best team members have chosen to leave and some left already, and whoever left for their lack of skills only return to the company later in higher roles and with better compensation, while those who have been consistently contributing to the product’s success do not see similar internal growth opportunities.
