Pros
Easy, flexible hours. Good location for commute in Philadelphia area. Casual dress code (jeans, polos, etc.). Co-workers friendly and helpful for the most part.
Cons
MedRisk is one of the most poorly managed and dysfunctional companies I have ever been a part of. There is absolutely NO formalized training period in place for employees. Essentially, you sit down with someone for a week and are expected to grasp every last quirk and nuance of the system without any overview, walk-through, tutorials, etc. You are on the phone all day talking to people who have little or no clue why you are calling. MedRisk will "use you and abuse you" until they've had enough and are ready to bring in the next guy to endure the same treatment. If you're wise enough, get out of here while you can. There is almost no upside to working here besides getting a paycheck (not to mention the brutally low pay, which is an entire issue in itself). Also, opportunities for advancement are extremely slim at best, and virtually non-existent. In short, working at MedRisk is just setting yourself up for a dead-end job. I am truly astonished that this place manages to be profitable with its reputation and turnover rate.
