I enjoyed working for the district.

My experience as a teacher at MCAllen ISD has been overwhelmingly positive, largely due to the exceptional administrative leadership. The principal at my campus is not just an administrator but a true instructional leader and advocate for staff.

The significant district-wide workload and paperwork demands can be challenging. Like many in education, the role comes with expectations that often extend beyond contractual hours, impacting work-life balance. Streamlining administrative tasks and evaluating the necessity of certain paperwork would greatly help teachers focus more on direct instruction and their own well-being.
