Pros
-Flexible Hours, most of the time -GREAT discount - 40% off -Usually a fun environment -Clothes are very nice, pretty, different styles -The ability to help people make decisions in their wardrobe -Get to know the other associates on a personal level, you really become a family -Meet lots of different people, good networking -You have the power to maybe make someone day better -Sometimes good incentives for Stoked for 7% and PM's
Cons
-Expected to be on call 24/7, even on your scheduled off days -You are expected to turn every customer into a maurices credit card holder, which includes begging them, several times. -you are expected to do way too many things in a short amount of time. You must greet every customer within seconds from walking in the door, get to know them on a personal level, do the shopping with them as well as other customers at the same time, show them merchendise, follow up in the fitting room, make sure you make your sales goal for day, sell the maurices credit card, fold, straighten, and make sure everything looks like it has never been touched, as well as changing visual/promotional aspects all in one shift (this is just for an associate, managers must also lead your team, open/close registers, handle the paperwork, do calculations) -Expectations are often to high and unattainable, they tell you customers are first over tasks, but get mad when you do not complete tasks. -Not very much (if any) positive feedback from District Managers/Company
