Pros

You do get a good amount of opportunities to learn new skills as you go. While I was there, the other employees on my level were really cool and so going to work was pretty fun on a social level.

Cons

Lies. When I was brought on full time, the salary offered was well below (about half?) what I felt I deserved based on my skillset and equipment I was bringing to the table... I was told by management that they realized the offer was low, but I would see a regular increase in salary every 4-6 months until I got up to where I thought I should be. I never saw a raise for over a year and it was so small that it really shouldn't count as a raise. And that was after pulling teeth the get them to do it. My supervisor once asked me to lie to my clients about how much time I spent on their account so he could charge them for more billable hours... I declined to do so.. In fact, I told my client about the conversation. Disorganized. I received phone calls from multiple clients personally, even though I was not the main contact on their account, because whoever WAS in charge of their account never answered their calls or emails. I would then have to relay their concerns to their account handler, but as I've heard on many occasions, nothing was ever done. Bad People A great freelance opportunity had arisen for me that in no way competed with their business. I spoke to management personally because I had gone over my allotted time off for the year and even mentioned they could take me off the books for that week and I wouldn't collect a salary. After they agreed to this, they talked it over and then decided to strip me of my full-time status, telling me that it was the only way they could take me off payroll for the week but I would be re-instated to full time when I came back. I then received an email before I returned that stated I was terminated. I should also mention that in our face to face conversation, they listed the fact I had a baby on the way gave them concern regarding the fact I had no more vacation days left (pretty sure thats illegal) Dead ends No room for growth, and no real guidance from supervisors.

Pros

You can wear what you want, bring your pets, and you probably won't be held accountable for your work.

Cons

Several reasons to avoid this company: Low Pay: attribute that to being a "startup" which they've been doing for 6 years now. It's not a start up. They provide marketing services to 100-150 small businesses and that's what they've been doing for years. Everyone has an extremely low salary and it doesn't get better. Consistently unhappy clients: Because of how understaffed the company is, employees don't have the time to give each client what they're being promised. In order to gain more clients, there is a constant theme of over promising and under delivering. Clients are consistently frustrated and confused and the overall theme is that they feel cheated. During my 1 + time working there, more than half of clients quit after their 6 month contract. You will constantly be "putting out fires" by stretching the truth on work you've done. Unprofessional: with the "lax environment" comes gossip and unfulfilled promises, especially in reference to giving raises. They will look you in the eye and promise you something and never follow through. This includes a promise of a good reference after amicably parting ways. Along with this, there is no one even close to being "mentor" material. They've disclosed very personal information about ex employees to the rest of the company on multiple occasions- information including, but not limited to, mental illness and unemployment checks.
