Pros
- Has a great external reputation - Great Benefit package
Cons
If you’re considering working for Major Players, I strongly recommend thinking twice. They look great from the outside but this company has proven to be one of the worst I’ve encountered, with a toxic culture that revolves around a ruthless hire and fire approach. They overhire without clear planning, then set completely unrealistic goals that change week by week, leaving employees scrambling to meet ever shifting expectations. The management team is disorganised and lacks any sense of direction or strategy. Leadership is virtually non existent, with managers making decisions on a whim and demonstrating a complete lack of understanding about how to run a team or a business effectively resulting in micromanagement in the wrong areas… Your job security at Major Players depends more on being part of the inner clique than on your actual performance. If you don’t spend your personal time socialising with managers and pandering to them at work events you’ll find yourself sidelined and eventually pushed out with no sense of direction on how to progress. This is a toxic work environment where merit and hard work are overlooked in favor of superficial relationships and quite frankly if they like you or not. Management do not listen when you give feedback or raise concerns nor are they ever honest with you about anything going on inside the organisation. Overall, Major Players is a prime example of a poorly managed company that prioritises politics and favoritism over competence and hard work. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a company that values its employees and fosters a supportive, stable environment that you can progress in Long-term.
