Poor leadership, horrible pay - Senior Digital Analyst MSI Employee Review

Pros

I learned a lot working here and they used to hire people without a ton of experience so it used to not be a bad place to start your job.

Cons

I would need at least a 50% raise to meet the minimum of what I should in my area. No hopes of that kind of raise, no hopes for promotions, even though I am consistently a top performer.

Pros

MSI used to be a great place to work. The company offered competitive pay, full remote flexibility, and a good environment for people who were motivated and wanted to grow. There were opportunities to learn, take ownership, and work with smart people across different teams.

Cons

The company has changed a lot in recent years, and not for the better. Senior leadership changes, shifting priorities, and constant reorganization have made the environment feel unstable and chaotic. There is less job security than before, and employees can feel like they are at risk when things go wrong, even if the issues are bigger than one person or team. Growth expectations can feel unrealistic without enough support from leadership. Communication is not always clear, and decisions often feel reactive instead of well planned. Unlimited PTO may sound good on paper, but it can also feel like a way to avoid paying out unused time when employees leave. The average employee tenure is only two years, which is a huge red flag. It is unfortunate because MSI had a strong culture and was once a great place to build a career. But after recent changes, it feels like a very different company. There are still good people there, but the company seems to be going through serious growing pains, and anyone considering joining should be aware of the uncertainty, leadership changes, and lack of stability.
