Pros
If you are a person who are not ambitious about your career, this is the best place to work. They don't expect you to learn, explore, experiment and implement new things. You just have to do your daily mundane tasks. You will get a lot of time to gossip and the entire organization will join you. For salary increment and promotions, no need to work hard just patronize the top management. There are few employees who are really good and they drive the entire organization. You need not want to take any decision as everything comes from CEO.
Cons
- No work only gossip. - Your quality of work does not value rather how much you patronize the top management. - No standard process or practices followed for development, product management, project management, sales and marketing functions. So, once you move out of Mage/Mentis you will not be fit for the industry as you do not know the standard process followed by other companies. It will be difficult for you to crack interviews once you work in Mentis for a long time. - Salaries will delay frequently. This happened a lot of time. Variable bonus will be ceased for months. - Don't fall by their interactions in social media, they pay attention only to the employees who are close with top management. - They get too involved in your very personal matters. Zero professionalism. - The office building is just an old house. - Not recommended for highly educated or highly skilled people. But a good company to start for people who just want a job in IT and fails to find one in a reputed company. - The most toxic thing, the organisation conducts party and only few will be invited. The situation is so pathetic that you may invite all your team mates but not you. They may call your juniors but not you. Even if you are sitting in a group, they will silently come call few people outside the room and will invite them for the party and tell them not to inform you. This is a clear evidence of groupism ( top management's pets) and they cannot deny this. You may not want to join the party but it is the attitude of the management that hurts/annoys you.
