Pros

Flexible time (8am-4:30PM with opportunity to leave early) Great interpersonal culture (very low tension between co-workers) Online training resources You get certified in Google Ads very quickly Teaches you how to prospect quickly on Google Teaches you how to have business conversations You learn how to give presentations online and what industry standard sales tools are available to you. You will likely become an expert in multiple industries You work for a company that can provide customers results better than anyone else in North and South America. This should give you a ton of confidence! Company is growing really fast. I started off rough on the phones and asked for help from my managers. They gave it to me. I started getting way better and left the company at over 100% to quota (I think my best while there was 165% to quota). In the beginning, your job is to set appointments. Your managers are expected to close the deals for you. However, as you grow it is important to be independent and close your own deals. This allows you to maximize your time wisely and capture more opportunities (controlling your own income).

Cons

Very high turnover rate! If you are a recent college grad looking for a job to pay back those loans, I wouldn't advise you to choose this unless you live at home or have very few bills to pay. Compensation leaves much to be desired. Overtime is extremely rare and has to be approved by a manager/HR. Your hourly starts very low ($12). If you are consistent, you can bump your hourly by three dollars. Residual pay is accessible to consistent performers. You miss quota in a cycle? No residuals for you that cycle. You have the opportunity to earn it back IF you are a senior salesperson and hit quota the next cycle. Otherwise, if you want something better than your base, you better learn how to sell. Benefits are okay. You don't actually have a strong cushion for developing your sales funnel. Your cushion is getting paid on the sales you make during your first four months even if you fall short of quota. I've seen people who worked their butts off get fired before four months. At the end of the day, it's all about the numbers. There are plenty of events that allow you to enjoy the company of your teammates outside of work and plenty of ways that management makes the job fun. Don't forget you're responsible for your numbers. If you're uncomfortable with phone sales, you'll learn a lot here. Just make sure you can bear the pressure of performing. If you let it, this job can stress you out even when you're not at work.

Thank you for the feedback. I’m glad you had a good experience in terms of learning the industry, and that you worked with some great people. I want to address a few of the other points you brought up: -Compensation: One piece left out is the commission on new sales, which is separate than residuals. These are both in addition to the base pay. But you are right, you have to make sales to earn above the base. On average, our goal is about 3 sales per month. Once that goal is hit consistently, targets are measured quarterly. We are also constantly adapting the model; you probably saw several changes during your time here. All of those changes resulted in increased pay, while allowing more time for newer reps to get up to speed. -Turnover: We hate seeing people go. We work very hard on training and education, and do everything possible to give our people the tools to succeed during their 3-4 month introductory period, but ultimately the job does require sales to be made. As one of our newer offices, we are excited to be expanding the Charlotte team and just added an operations department. As you mentioned, we have some great people, so I am confident that the office will continue to meaningfully grow and exceed expectations. -Transparency in promotion / product launches: You laid out some of the sales progression path in your review: Rep > Senior Rep > Asst. Manager > Manager > Asst. GM > GM. We have a very high rate of promotion through sales and try our best to offer multiple career paths to our employees. As mentioned, we just added a Charlotte based product team and are excited to currently be hiring for that. I appreciate your feedback and that you highlighted all the good things you experienced. I’m glad that you were able to walk away with new skills and I appreciate everything you did while you were with LP. If there is ever anything I can do, please reach out! We wish you all the best in your next venture. -Mike W.

Pros

Great team of people on every level, from the training to the teams we are on when we get started- everyone is so supportive and they really make the workday more fun. The training and the amount of resources available really do lay a foundation for success in this role that's hard to beat.

Cons

It's hard to say that there are really any "cons" because this job is entirely what you make of it.
