Pros
When a workplace becomes a nightmare: Labor law violations and toxic culture I've been in a situation where the workplace was just unbearable. We're talking delayed salaries, no proper drinking water, no water in the bathroom, and even chained gates! Lunch breaks were a mere 30 minutes, and you needed signed slips just to go. The management was deeply uneducated, inadequate, and manipulative, with an openly rude owner. The office was dirty, infested with cockroaches, and the culture was driven by micromanagement and arbitrary pay cuts. It was an environment that killed creativity and caused immense depression. I even witnessed colleagues having seizures and panic attacks. It makes you wonder, how do you deal with such extreme conditions? When is enough truly enough?
Cons
Hi, Before this, I worked with one of the most professional and respectful workplaces I’ve experienced. That’s why the contrast here became even more clear. I am quitting this job effective immediately. I have tried my best to adjust, but this place is beyond toxic. There are no real policies here — everything runs on fear, mood swings, and dictatorship. This is not a company; this is a factory where educated employees are treated like labourers. Employees work under constant fear. I have personally seen multiple people having panic attacks at their desks because of the pressure. That alone shows what kind of environment this is. Every morning starts with anxiety here. People wake up scared, hoping they won’t be late — because even 1 minute late is marked as a half day. That’s why people literally rush on their bikes just to reach on time. Lunch is no relief. People eat in fear and rush, because even a minute delay leads to scolding. The entire office is under constant pressure and anxiety every day. The office gate is kept locked with a chain like a jail gate. Basic freedom doesn’t exist. To step outside, you need a gate pass. Employees are not allowed to talk to each other, even a normal conversation can lead to being reprimanded. And to enter the office, you have to sign in THREE different registers, like labourers. Factory workers get their salary on the 1st, but office employees get it on the 10th or 12th. And here’s the funniest part — there are no ID cards, no salary slips, no experience letters, no relieving letters, but there are gate passes, leave forms, early leave forms, and every useless control document you can imagine. Employees with MBAs and real talent are treated worse than daily-wage workers. I have worked on Sundays. I have sat through 30-minute lectures for being 7 minutes late. Lunch breaks are 30 minutes maximum. The canteen is filthy, the water is undrinkable, and the washrooms often have no water. I carry 2 litres of water from home daily because office water literally has insects in it. Asking for a leave feels like begging. The entire office runs on the manager’s mood — and the manager is almost always in a bad mood. This environment kills creativity. Social media work cannot grow in a place where people are scared to breathe, walk, or talk. Micromanagement, ego, and control define this place. Even a short walk results in multiple calls to come back immediately. Employees are not slaves. Stop treating them like prisoners. Stop taking advantage of people’s financial situations. Honestly, the only good thing this company gave me is a lot of stand-up comedy content. At least something useful came out of this chaos. I am leaving today for the sake of my mental health. Please do NOT call me. This is my goodbye. The people who are still stuck here deserve basic respect and humanity — something this company has never understood.
