Pros

It took an immense amount of bravery, drive and ambition to transform Lifesize from producing on-premise hardware and software to a cloud-first company. Today the company reaping the benefits of that decision. You have to respect the management team for making such a bold move and seeing it thought. Kudos. The company is not afraid of changing, adapting and learning from mistakes. Nobody is perfect and making mistakes is natural, but it's how you learn from them is what counts. Lifesize is bold and that's sometimes what it takes to become a leader in the market. Lifesize is made-up of a great bunch of people. When seen as individuals, everyone who works at Lifesize has their own stand-out talent, but as a team, anything is possible it seems. Lifesize is the perfect place for self-motivated and driven people. There's no 9 to 5 jobs at the company, as an employee you have the flexibility to work your own hours, from where you want on the understanding you play your part. I find this is empowering and rewarding as an employee. The company isn't afraid to rewards staff and have fun. Everyone works hard, but they play hard too. While working is our livelihood, it doesn't have to be a chore.

Cons

Ironcially communication is sometimes a problem, not with staff or colleagues, but with customers and partners. The company could do better in this area. Lifesize isn't very good at shouting about some of the great things it's done or been doing. Marketing visibility and brand awareness is lower than is should be. Lifesize still has a US centric company culture, despite having a truly global service and footprint. There's probably still some more cultural growth required at an organisational level.
