Pros

Compensation is fair, with top performers earning in the 80k range. Work experience is varied, as you are responsible for personal sales and the team as a whole. You do get to maintain about a quarter of your time as a personal trainer, so you still get to enjoy client interaction and program design.

Cons

The varied tasks associated with the role are daunting and overwhelming at times. You will be expected to succeed at multiple tasks simultaneously, regardless of your expertise in a given area or support given to you. For instance, I was part of a department that only had 2 people in this position instead of 3. The expectations were the same, it just meant that we had to work more hours, with more stress.

Pros

Great healthy way of life promoted to employees as part of goals and balance of work with life. Flexible time off with mixture of paid time off.

Cons

Does not recognize federal holidays - not a bank - so use personal celebration days to take time off when requested.

Pros

Members are great and free membership is a perk. Coworkers are supportive.

Cons

You will be micromanaged to death, whether you have three weeks of experience or 20 years. Policies are vague. Communication with leadership is poor. You can be a strong, experienced performer and have very few classes, or brand new and get 8 a week. There appears to be no logic or strategy to anything that happens.
