Pros
Yearly pair of free glasses and free eye exams. Other employees are great also, but that's no reflection on the company as moral is constantly low.
Cons
The pay may be high but they cut your hours to what any other company would consider part-time. In the end, you bring home very little income compared to other hourly jobs. It's probably one of the most stressful places of employment with little room for growth and you can forget getting a "raise" as they only increase wages based off of cost of living. Every detail is micromanaged from the number of sales tracked against the previous year, the types of lenses being sold having to meet a certain percentage regardless of what is popular for customers, and they constantly push for the retail staff to make "quota" based off of black and white numbers with threats of a further reduction in hours allotted to staffing if goals aren't met. Lab employees are treated even worse with the least allotted hours, understaffed, and constantly having to manage multiple one hour promise time jobs with just one person often times with low pay vs hours allotted to staffing.
