Pros

Some of the staff members were great to work with and most teachers are very respectful of one another. Families were also wonderful and do appreciate all the hard work teachers have done care and teaching their children.

Cons

Barely any benefits, Upper management plays favorites and tries to cater to certain staff. Head office is a mess and unorganized and don't even know who is in charge of what. The head of school tries his best, but at times I feel like he has zoned out after getting certain amounts of complaints from teachers about how burnt out they are and how some teachers don't treat them with respect. Mentions that they hear us, but do they really? This is more of a corporate than a place where people want to come to work. So much turn over and losing great teachers when it could have been avoided in the first place. 3 sick days a year which is ridiculous because working with children, you will always get sick and when you use up those 3 days, you have to accept the fact that you'll be broke if you get sick again. Management does seem to play favorites where the head teachers are the ones being the favorite while the Associate teachers feel like they are nothing even though they usually work just as hard, maybe even harder than the head teachers and they don’t even get acknowledged for their hard for and dedication. If a lot of teachers quitting in the same classroom, there is a pattern, figure out why that it. Benefits. Forget about it. 3 sick days a year that does not roll over, but will restart itself every September is ridiculous. Never in my life as a teacher or an employee anywhere have I received sick day benefits like this. It is also hard to take some paid time off to rest as we barely gain that much PTO while the admins are able to take as much time off as they want. This is probably the worse company that I have worked for, the upper management and head office don’t really care about their employees even though they say that they do. They ask us to take on extra tasks without compensating us and when we ask for compensation, they tell us they’ll get back to us and never do. They constantly have investors coming in to tour the place and all the money they take in from tuition from families have to make it look like they are taking in more money than going out, hence, not many pay raises even if you’ve been there for over a year.
