Pros

The ability to build relationships with all of the residents was my biggest pro of the job. Building relationships with residents made them feel comfortable to talk to you about anything, which opened up many doors on how to improve their overall experience in anyway possible. The rent discount was another pro I would mention.

Cons

Upper management was very poor in handling issues. We had numerous issues, both in regards to ethics as well as professionalism in the work place and our HR department as well as upper management staff ignored numerous employees tips as well as documentation regarding the matter. It would not be strange for our "property manager" to go missing for hours at a time. Often times without an excuse. Our office would be closed for hours at a time during peek business hours, strictly because he was the only one in the office and would leave. It was stated in our employment contract that we are to be paid out bonuses monthly, based on our individual leasing efforts, and we went 13 months without getting paid a bonus. This was another issue that was brought to upper management's attention, and was not resolved for roughly 5 months.

Oct 1, 2019 Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We want our employees to know that their priorities are our priorities. We recently hired a Vice President of Human Resources who has been intentional about developing the Human Resources department, although implementing change is always a process that takes time.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you found this to be a positive opportunity for college students, as we strive to provide flexible roles that support both academic and professional development. We also recognize that working in student housing can involve engaging with a variety of stakeholders, including parents and guarantors, which can sometimes be challenging. Strong communication and customer service are an important part of these roles, and we aim to support our teams in navigating those interactions professionally and effectively

Pros

Great staff when I worked there

Cons

No room for promotion. No future. Low pay . One of the Lowest pay for maintenance in the area. You’re expected to do everything in house and they won’t pay for the parts you need to fix things. The only people making money are management. They’re well taken care of. You’re have to commit to working every day for a month during summer.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations and appreciate you taking the time to provide insight into your concerns. We recognize that compensation, career growth, and day-to-day support are critical to the employee experience. We strive to offer competitive pay aligned with each market, while also providing opportunities for advancement across our portfolio. In many cases, career growth is most accelerated in larger markets or for team members who are open to relocation, where there are more properties, roles, and leadership opportunities available.
