Pros
An ok starting step for a junior based in the Midlands looking for an in to the industry. Met nice people. Work for some good brands. Health benefits were good.
Cons
Very low pay with not much progression, the company is resistant to pay rises and promotions when more than deserved. Long hours/late nights/working over weekends are expected even for juniors on a very low wage. Staff are frequently burnt out. Non-existent/poor work culture. Senior creative pairs gatekeep the good briefs and rarely let mid-junior creatives be in the room/get involved. Pigeon hole creatives to certain clients/briefs halting growth. Seniors suffer from favouritism causing some creatives to get more support, bias treatment and better briefs, while neglecting others causing a negative environment. Seniors disregard other talent’s opinions so ideas executed were dated and uninspiring. Overheard sexist conversations by some male staff members. A disregard and lack of empathy on wellbeing of staff and mental-health issues. Resistant against remote working. Not many extra benefits. All of this, of course, created a high turnover of staff.
