Pros

Positive working environment, full of fun and bright ideas with a passionate culture. It’s a scale up so do not expect a structured corporate environment, but rather something more creative.

Cons

Can be high paced with lots of stuff going on.

Pros

- Free drinks on shift (limited) - Common customers/relationships - if you're lucky enough to have a good team! - company wide incentives that lead to prizes for their hard-working teams - increased pay across Christmas Eve, Boxing Day + New Year's - supportive environment within certain stores (can't be said for all.)

Cons

- upper management problems: members of higher management (I.e. office/global) can be extremely insensitive or have a lack of care towards those on the front line, especially at Christmas time. - continuous problems with promotional content/new drinks & items: Knoops would benefit from a proofreader to prevent problems with their documentation continuously turning up to stores wrong, and then staff taking the brunt of this (I.e. a recent matcha affogato product displayed in a small iced cup despite being sold in a small plastic tub) - extreme pressure: staff and their managers struggle to keep up with the standards asked of them by higher management who essentially ask for the impossible, their equivalent of increasing footfall is sampling and if sampling doesn't work, it has to be something wrong with the staff and not the premise of pricey hot chocolate and sometimes location or area.

Pros

- I've got a genuinely supportive manager who backs me and makes space for me to do good work and grow. - The wider operations and field team is brilliant and a real pleasure to be part of. There's a real kindness running through all the other teams too, which makes everyday work feel easy and human. - I feel part of something important and that my work benefits people across the business. - The culture, recognition, and benefits have all been steadily improving since I joined, so it feels like a company that listens and actually acts. There is a growing sense of camaraderie across all business functions as the business grows and new experts join the team.

Cons

Moving from start-up to scale-up always comes with some growing pains and the business has big aspirations! - Communication across the Support Centre could be even more joined up, so everyone always feels in the loop whether they are based in London or Rye. - From an operations point of view, the biggest opportunity is in the tools. A lot of reporting and admin is still quite manual, and getting numbers from one system to talk to another takes more effort than it should. However, this is being addressed across the year with the introduction of new systems.
