-Salary is not competitive once you've achieved 1-2 years of experience. My office had steady turnover at the 1.5-2 year mark as people could leave and get $10-15,000 more a year with very little effort to retain these employees. Raises were small if you got one at all. This is why my title says to take the job for what it's worth. It's great to get something on a resume, but the job simply isn't competitive on the market once you've got that.
-Hire externally to fill positions. Management positions would occasionally open up but no one in house was ever seriously considered. I saw zero opportunity for career growth in the company long term. This coupled with the pay was ultimately the reason I left.
