Pros

This company had so much potential 2 years ago....

Cons

In their quest for growth , they focused on just hiring....they hired incompetent sales managers, promoted people based on their tenure and loyalty, no matter how inapproprite these people were.... In customer service the turn over is so high, the employees do not know enough to service the customers correctly and they now moved sales reps into manager roles who do not understand customer service and its processes. In sales, reps sell crappy policies without any consequences and accountability, the managers do not coach them to do the right thing cause the managers do not care either. In underwriting, it depends who is looking at your request and what mood they are in so they might do the right thing or they might not..In product...oh boy....and in senior leadership most don't even know or care what is happening in the rest of the org. Systems are half built and do not accurately work most of the time and workday is awful and is being poorly managed by HR. It is really messy and sloppy. This company needs an overhaul from the top down.

Pros

Remote work, decent benefits for some things. If you thrive in high stress/high pressure situations, with constant change & pivoting priorities, this place is for you.

Cons

Kin having the value “Operate lean; deliver more” should tell you pretty much everything you need to know about working at this company. There is little to no training yet the expectations to produce & perform are very high. Flexible/unlimited PTO is part of the benefits but if you feel like you can’t ever take time off because you’re so busy with work/deadlines, it’s not really a benefit. Not to mention, the time leading up to taking more than a few days off is SO stressful trying to get everything done or ready to be handed off that you question if it’s even worth it. Burnout is a very real thing at this company. They terminate people quite frequently here so you are often in fear of losing your job which adds another level of stress on top of everything else. While they are flexible, the work/life balance is poor. Working evenings & weekends is frequently necessary to meet deadlines.
