the hours were too long and tiring

• Unique building and exhibits • A few great staff who still care about the mission

• Leadership laid off 11 full-time staff, 9 of them people of color, under “budget cuts,” only to replace them with all white hires • Diversity and inclusion have been erased from the organization • CEO is unfriendly, disconnected from Omaha, and focused mainly on wealthy white donors • There is very little communication with staff, and leadership shows no personable skills or genuine care for employees • Morale is low, trust is gone, and the mission feels hollow compared to what was promised
