Pros

College Nannies and Tutors is a very well managed and organized company. Not only are they dedicated to providing an excellent service for the children of their customers, but they are committed to being accommodating to their employees as well. This is an employer that can provide full-time employment opportunities as well as part-time for even the busiest schedules.

Cons

For this job it is necessary to have a car, and at times you can be placed for a job that can be more than an hour away. This can sometimes leave employees in the difficult situation of working enough hours to barely exceed the cost of driving to their placement. If possible, College Nannies and Tutors should look into changing their policy for driver reimbursement.

I've worked with Jovie Newport Beach since 2022. I started as an on-call nanny and worked my way up into administration. I am now in charge of recruitment, event coordination, and general management. I love the company culture and encourage families to use our services and for potential nannies to apply! I have met many great people through the Jovie network! It has been great!

LOW PAY for the job. After 3 years with Jovie, I was getting paid $16/hr and my full-time family was paying somewhere from $26-28/hr. They told my nanny family I was getting higher raises than I was. MUCH fairer companies out there. No PTO due to "not being salaried employees" even though that's not how PTO works! Constantly nagged about logging in my hours even though I was always on top of it. Going through them was a pain. Don't recommend. Always wondered if why they rebranded from College Nannies and Sitters was to try to separate from all the negative reviews.
