Pros

If you have a great owner/director, it can be an awesome entry level job. You have slow days and crazy busy days which typically even out.

Cons

There is no real training...just a couple days and then you're thrown in. A focus on sales is not discussed much during hiring OR training, yet it is 100% of what a manager's job is. Very small marketing budget and you are expected to work miracles with next to nothing. Little real support and not much room to grow within the company.

We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience with CNT. The College Nannies and Tutors Development team provides bi-monthly manager training in our corporate office, which discusses many different topics, including marketing and recruiting tactics that trainee's take back to their local offices to implement. The three-day training class is comprehensive, and follows 4-6 weeks of pre-training calls and assignments with our Training Manager. We strive to ensure our franchisees and managers have what they need to ensure success through our brand. We also encourage franchisees and local management to utilize the tools and resources available, and reach out to the CNTD support team whenever there are questions or concerns. We apologize if the training, tools or resources were made unavailable to you during your employment with us.

Pros

I've worked with Jovie Newport Beach since 2022. I started as an on-call nanny and worked my way up into administration. I am now in charge of recruitment, event coordination, and general management. I love the company culture and encourage families to use our services and for potential nannies to apply! I have met many great people through the Jovie network! It has been great!

Cons

I can't think of any cons!

Pros

Help find you a family to work with. I could see how this could perhaps be great for part time

Cons

LOW PAY for the job. After 3 years with Jovie, I was getting paid $16/hr and my full-time family was paying somewhere from $26-28/hr. They told my nanny family I was getting higher raises than I was. MUCH fairer companies out there. No PTO due to "not being salaried employees" even though that's not how PTO works! Constantly nagged about logging in my hours even though I was always on top of it. Going through them was a pain. Don't recommend. Always wondered if why they rebranded from College Nannies and Sitters was to try to separate from all the negative reviews.
