Office location, Workload — The work must get done. Some weeks, when dealing with stacked deadlines, can be 45-50 hour working weeks. Don’t take this gig unless you are willing to occasionally go the extra mile. If you are willing to do this, you will be rewarded in kind.

I can't imagine having a better summer internship experience than I did with Jaffe Holden. I was given engaging projects on the first day and I never felt sidelined on account of simply being an intern. My supervisor created a perfect balance between being available for the interns' questions and giving us space to work independently--leadership here is neither overbearing nor neglectful. I witnessed other employees being supportive of eachother daily, and everyone seems to desire collective, not just individual, success. Jaffe Holden prides itself on offering outstanding benefits to its employees, and I was pleased to see that people had a healthy work-life balance and were using their vacation days without guilt. I'm grateful I had the opportunity to work with some of the greatest in the field of architectural acoustics.
