Pros

Get to tell your poor outer borough friends that you work in the city*

Cons

Agent work involves extracting confidential homeowner information & sending them fake letters saying that someone is interested in purchasing their property, nothing more. "Junior appraisal analysts" - basically get paid $4.50 per hour for completing an entire FHA Appraisal report on the behalf of JWC's license - the act is illegal so zero room for growth. "Management" calls & harasses you on weekends to come in & work for free

Pros

Came to JWC as a trainee. Did not know how capable the firm was overall and the extent of their work. Learned a great deal and was able to help close out a deal that earned me an incredible summer salary

Cons

Have to be patient and work all angles.

Pros

Working at JWC, you definitely learn a lot about the real estate markets. When people say real estate agents are sleazeballs, most of this company definitely adheres to that stigma. Most likely it is due to high pressure from way on top and this causes the interns to feel the pressure as well. That being said, the team is indefinitely talented and extremely diligent. Some of the staff literally work 13 hour days and weekends. With the million things assigned to the full time staff, the full timers always try to help you as quickly as they can and I applaud them for that.

Cons

Note**** The company tells current interns to write reviews and will even schedule it to be monthly or so. The company will know who writes the reviews and this makes most, if not all of the positive reviews biased. You will be worked like a dog and be paid slave wages. You will work on reports for about 5 to 10% of what they are being paid for it. Things that are missing: 1. Hourly wage 2. Lunch breaks ( you basically need to work through lunch) 3. Team culture (people generally hate it there) Somebody mentioned being located nearby Madison Sq Park but the view of the office is literally a brick wall
