- Flexibility in being an exempt employee - Health insurance covers quite a bit - HSA/FSA/Dependent Care FSA - Some people are actively working at making changes - Tuition payment towards college courses (up to $5250 per year, will report it as income on w-2) - Professional development budget can pay for your certifications - Employee discounts at IFC cafe (10%) - 8 hours paid volunteer hours - Vacation time, sick time are in two different banks - can take 2 days consecutively sick without doctor's note - two remote days per week - Can volunteer to work community events, commencement - Can use fleet or rental vehicles for work related travel - open parking on campus
Cons
- High turnover - Pay is below average for being the largest community college in the state (besides Systems office positions) They have the classifications with minimal requirements to keep the pay low - Accrued vacation time is not paid out if you are termed - Dis organization from top to bottom - Systems office does not put out briefs with updates on expectations but expects compliance - Huge disconnect between Systems office and the entire college - No clear cut SOPs so performance is subjective Personnel Policies and Procedures
