Pros

At the staff level, this company is comprised of extremely smart, capable, and kind people. Until a few weeks ago, there were many more of them, but they just laid off about 40 people. The technology has promise and the data demonstrates this in test environments (no real world integration).

Cons

The CEO is out of touch with reality from a cultural and leadership perspective. Recruited aggressively, hired a lot of people from good jobs, and now they are looking again. He knew his runway was short because of lower than expected fundraising. The CEO loses focus and spends too much time on minutiae, slowing progress and success.

Pros

Revolutionary technology, team of passionate and driven experts, rich variety of experience levels available, young and fun work culture. Best job I’ve ever had.

Cons

Not for everyone, pace is intense given startup needs and deadlines. Quick pivots in business plan that can feel chaotic.

Pros

Co-workers are intelligent and hard working. I've learned a lot from my peers. If I had to do it all over again, I would absolutely chose to work at Iontra. Its important to have realistic expectations of what a startup entails and weigh all metrics against this reasonably. The technology is a true advancement and was interesting to implement.

Cons

Market adoption can be slow for deep tech. Buckle up. Leadership seems to be having difficulty after the unexplained departure of the original inventor/founder last year.
