Pros
Interesting data and LOTS of it. Lots of room for trying techniques. The company very much wants to be on the cutting edge and wants people who can test things out quickly. There is still some culture of remote work and work-life balance but it is diminishing.
Cons
In 2025, there were layoffs at the beginning of the year. The company did not do a good job in communicating to the other employees that this happened or why.
The loudest people are listened to the most, the DS team specifically fails consistent stable workers who are not working on the cool new thing. The culture has become more "traditional" and "corporate" over the past couple years and thus less flexible.
Employees are not trusted as adults and there is a push for local RTO even though a huge number of people are remote throughout the US and have been for many years.
