Pros

Working towards your Journeymans and steady work through COVID 19.

Cons

Veterans, your service to this country has zero monetary value here along with your education. That's if you used your GI bill for a technical degree. Veterans, you will be held to a higher standard and looked at to be a leader. Zero monetary compensation for this. The old adage, "It's not what you know, it's who you know. " applies here. Better to be family friends with PMs than to be good at your job. Hard work, knowledge and experience are not valued here. Employees who snuggle up to supervision get company vehicles and are essentially taken care of. Hard workers not so much. Apprentice with 4 year degree - vehicle Veteran who maintained billion dollar aircraft in warzone - nothing Favoritism is rampant here. Zero paid holidays, the benefits package is a straight up lie. Employees have to take PTO to have paid holidays. As stated above work was steady through COVID, I contracted the virus from another IES employee. The help I received from management and HR was terrible. No guidance navigating the beuracracy and red tape to get benefits. Do not chose to work for this company, take your fat tax incentives, skills and leadership ability to a company who will treat you fairly, honor your service and pay accordingly.
