Pros

Teams that got acquired should feel validated. Individuals those teams later hire will enjoy the team culture. You'll develop marketable skills. Your team and every teammate are there to indicate that the company is relevant.

Cons

I believe Infinite Reality (now Napster) is very likely a racket. Many people do. The company leadership are directionless and intentionally vague. As Forbes has reported, their (current as of mid-2025) $15B valuation is completely unexplained; they acquire companies to appear relevant, and then fire whole teams when their role in the facade is over. The CEO's business acumen and track record are unknown. As Forbes reports, his academic credentials were misrepresented on the company website, and in the span of six months he burned through half a dozen CTOs. I have no faith in him whatsoever.

Pros

Great benefits. Good people. Opportunity for remote work. Startup vibe, so upward mobility is very possible.

Cons

100% remote for now. No central office to work from. May not be a con for many people.

Pros

- A pretty lax work environment - Work from home - Health insurance and other benefits were OK

Cons

- Five managers per two employees - Acquisition conveyor belt until the money ran out - Absolutely zero chance for promotion - Innovations, ideas, processes, successes taken credit for by C-suite - Laid off half the company on a thursday without notice to chase new trends - Zero communication with active shareholder requests. Once they have your money they DGAF - Consistently missing, rescheduling, cancelling shareholder meetings
